Frequently Asked Questions
What does VVP stand for?
Vallee Visiting Professor
How does one become a VVP?
Potential candidates should have a distinctive record of exceptional and unquestionable creativity, originality, and leadership. Emphasis will be placed on those who have demonstrated initiative and success in altering academic thought processes, as well as those who have enlarged fields of knowledge, and those who have generated novel ones.
Who selects the VVP?
Potential VVP’s are suggested and discussed by the Board and Advisors. Final decision is made by Bert Vallee.
Is age a factor in becoming a VVP?
Age is not considered an essential variable, much as performance might imply an advantage of others who have been in service for longer periods. Yet, the Foundation favors candidates who are near the beginning, not the end of their careers. Nevertheless, a candidate’s record should indicate that success has been sustained and is not incidental.
How can I donate to the foundation?
